The Kosovo War A Strategy of Transformative Realism

The Kosovo War A Strategy of Transformative Realism
Heiko Karl Ital, "The Kosovo War: A Strategy of Transformative Realism"
English | ISBN: 334731333X | 2021 | 518 pages | EPUB | 431 KB
Kosovo is a political entity where different interests of key European actors meet. There is not one common interest of the European Union or of NATO, but a multitude of interests of its key member states involved in the process of nation-building and since 2008, to come up with a new expression, nation parenting in Kosovo. Realism is used as an analytical tool to investigate the Europeanization of Kosovo, as well as relevant patterns of power and influence with Germany at the center. Its explanatory power is being compared to contending theories dealing with the European Union's development. Given that realism is a suitable tool for analyzing the Europeanization of Kosovo, the author assumes that EU member states, including Germany, are mainly guided by security and power considerations in their approach regarding Kosovo.

The Kolbrin Bible
The Kolbrin Bible By Janice Manning
2006 | 855 Pages | ISBN: 1597720054 | PDF | 4 MB
In their day, Phoenician traders operated the most advanced fleets ofocean-going vessels in all the world. Before their fall to the Roman Empire, their principal trade routes stretched throughout the Mediterranean area, outalong the shores of Western Europe and up as far North as Britain.Of note to this body of work is that the Phoenicians imported papyrusfrom Egypt and sold it abroad along with ancient wisdom texts. In doing so,they distributed the earliest known variant of The Kolbrin Bible, called TheGreat Book, to their various ports of call. The Great Book was originally penned in Hieratic by Egyptianacademicians after the Exodus of the Jews (ca 1500 BCE). Its original 21volumes were later translated using the 22-letter Phoenician alphabet (whichlater spawned the Greek, Roman and English alphabets of today). The only known copy of The Great Book to survive the millennia was theone exported to Britain by the Phoenicians in the 1st century BCE.Regrettably, much of it was destroyed when the Glastonbury Abbey was setablaze in 1184 CE. The attack on the Abbey was ordered by English KingHenry II, after he accused the Abbey priests of being mystical heretics.Fearing for their lives, the Celtic priests of the Abbey fled into hidingwith what remained of The Great Book. There, they transcribed the survivingPhoenician translations to bronze sheets and and stored them in copper-cladwooden boxes. This effort became known as The Bronzebook. In the 18th century CE The Bronzebook was merged with a Celticwisdom text called the Coelbook to become The Kolbrin Bible.

The Knowledge of God Essays on God, Christ, and Church

The Knowledge of God Essays on God, Christ, and Church
The Knowledge of God: Essays on God, Christ, and Church By Michael Allen
2022 | 216 Pages | ISBN: 0567699374 | PDF | 2 MB
The Knowledge of God turns to consider the knowledge of God revealed in the Word of God, with several essays addressing the doctrine of God, then the person of Christ, and finally the miracle of the church. Michael Allen shows the exegetical shape of historical and dogmatic reasoning as well as the significance of thinking about these topics in their interrelationships with a range of other Christian themes, not least the doctrine of the living and true God. In each of these topics, the theme of the promise and nature of God's presence (whether in his own life or then in the economy of the incarnation and of the church) proves to be a unifying thread. The gospel is shown to be rooted backward in God's own life and to have consequence forward for the ongoing life of Christ displayed in his church. This volume explores what it means to learn of and come to know God, who has life in himself and then shares his life with us in the coming of his Son and the ongoing presence amidst his body, the church of Christ.

Now parents are losing faith in public schools, new alternatives are appearing, and change is on the way. The K-12 Implosion provides a succinct description of what's wrong, and where the solutions are likely to appear, along with advice for parents, educators, and taxpayers.

The International Co-operative Alliance and the consumer co-operative movement in northern Europe, c. 1860-1939

The International Co-operative Alliance and the consumer co-operative movement in northern Europe, c. 1860-1939
Mary Hilson, "The International Co-operative Alliance and the consumer co-operative movement in northern Europe, c. 1860-1939"
English | ISBN: 1526100800 | 2018 | 208 pages | EPUB | 544 KB
The book examines the history of co-operation in the broad context of the history of consumerism and consumption; of internationalism and the development of international organisations; and debates about international trade during the inter-war period. The fundamental question explored in the book concerns the meaning of co-operation. Was it a social movement or an economic enterprise? Did it aspire to challenge capitalism or to reform it? Did it contain at its heart a political vision for the transformation of society or was it simply a practical guide for organising a business? Hilson argues that it was both, but that an examination of the debates over the different meanings of co-operation can also illuminate broader questions about the emergence of consumer interests in the first half of the twentieth century, especially in a transnational context.

The Imperial Presidency and American Politics

The Imperial Presidency and American Politics
Benjamin Ginsberg, "The Imperial Presidency and American Politics"
English | ISBN: 0367619962 | 2021 | 148 pages | EPUB | 645 KB
Those who saw Donald Trump as a novel threat looming over American democracy and now think the danger has passed may not have been paying much attention to the political developments of the past several decades. Trump was merely the most recent―and will surely not be the last―in a long line of presidents who expanded the powers of the office and did not hesitate to act unilaterally when so doing served their purposes. Unfortunately, Trump is also unlikely to be the last president prepared to do away with his enemies in the Congress and transform the imperial presidency from a theory to a reality.

Cemil Aydin, "The Idea of the Muslim World: A Global Intellectual History"
English | ISBN: 0674050371 | 2017 | 304 pages | EPUB | 797 KB
When President Barack Obama visited Cairo in 2009 to deliver an address to Muslims worldwide, he followed in the footsteps of countless politicians who have taken the existence of a unified global Muslim community for granted. But as Cemil Aydin explains in this provocative history, it is a misconception to think that the world's 1.5 billion Muslims constitute a single religio-political entity. How did this belief arise, and why is it so widespread?
