Ethics Learning to live
Patricia Debeljuh, "Ethics: Learning to live"
English | 2022 | ISBN: 9966010440 | ASIN: B09VBBV585 | EPUB | pages: 266 | 0.2 mb
The new millennium has started and we now find ourselves in a world situation that has been produced by a network of events, people, decisions which were connected to each other in time and space and which mark the present day world. In the past and today too, it has been fashionable to consider the ethics of these situations; this is because the human being has always had the tendency to wonder about the moral value of his actions and to ask himself is this act right or wrong?

Empire of Clay The Reign of Moulay Ismail, Sultan of Morocco

Empire of Clay The Reign of Moulay Ismail, Sultan of Morocco
Comer Plummer III, "Empire of Clay: The Reign of Moulay Ismail, Sultan of Morocco "
English | ISBN: 1684712602 | 2019 | 336 pages | EPUB | 5 MB
Hero or Monster? Empire of Clay: The Reign of Moulay Ismail, Sultan of Morocco (1672-1727) assesses contrasting views of Morocco's longest-serving monarch. On the surface, Moulay Ismail's 55-year reign was momentous: he consolidated a new dynasty, the Alaouites; he developed a professional army of soldier-slaves, the Abid al-Bukhari, which he used to crush domestic opposition; he created a sprawling new capital at Meknes; and he returned to Moroccan control several cities held by England and Spain. On the international scene, he raised Morocco's profile in courting Louis XIV of France and James II of England. However, his legacy is an equivocal one. The cost of these successes was enormous: hundreds of thousands enslaved, as many or more killed through war and repression, including scores murdered by Ismail himself; and a state driven toward ruin by the ruler's obsessions. In the Age of Absolutism, no ruler was more powerful or more feared.

Emotional Engineering, Vol. 9: Move Ahead Toward Self-Satisfying Society (SSS)
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3031058666 | 190 Pages | PDF (True) | 6 MB
Engineering has been based on the Euclidean space approach and it was numerical data-centric. In short, our engineering up to now has been control-based, i.e., on tactics and problem solving. When we realize AI consumes 10,000 times more energy than human brain, we understand how it is better to use 10,000 people's minds. But current society is industrial society. The industrial revolution introduced division of labour and we started to work for others. But the tremendous consumption of energy indicates that we need to move toward another society. If we can make the next society a self-Satisfying society (SSS) and create a new sustainable society with greater mental wellbeing then many emerging problems will be solved and we can enjoy our lives better. Emotional engineering engages with this challenge.

Electrospun Nanofibers: Principles, Technology and Novel Applications
English | 2022 | ISBN: 3030999572 | 1404 Pages | EPUB (True) | 148 MB
This book presents the development of electrospun materials, fundamental principles of electrospinning process, controlling parameters, electrospinning strategies, and electrospun nanofibrous structures with specific properties for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, textile, water treatment, sensor, and energy fields. This book can broadly be divided into three parts: the first comprises basic principles of electrospinning process, general requirements of electrospun materials and advancement in electrospinning technology, the second part describes the applications of electrospun materials in different fields and future prospects, while the third part describes applications that can be used in advanced manufacturing based on conjoining electrospinning and 3D printing. Electrospinning is the most successful process for producing functional nanofibers and nanofibrous membranes with superior chemical and physical properties. The unique properties of electrospun materials including high surface to volume ratio, flexibility, high mechanical strength, high porosity, and adjustable nanofiber and pore size distribution make them potential candidates in a wide range of applications in biomedical and engineering areas. Electrospinning is becoming more efficient and more specialized in order to produce particular fiber types with tunable diameter and morphology, tunable characteristics, having specific patterns and 3D structures.

Effective Waste Management and Circular Economy: Legislative Framework and Strategies
English | 2023 | ISBN: 1032137258 | 299 Pages | PDF (True) | 15 MB
Effective Waste Management and Circular Economy: Legislative Framework and Strategies is an invaluable resource for researchers, policymakers, implementers and PhD, graduate and Under Graduate level students in universities and colleges analysing the legal framework, strategies in waste management, circular economy adoption, use of mathematical and statistical modelling in setting waste management strategies, sanitation and Hygiene in waste management. While huge wastes are wasted by dumping, there is potential of resource circulation by enforcing legislative framework to effective resource utilisation and creating business opportunities. Circularity of resources in waste streams can contribute to a more secure, sustainable, and economically sound future through the followings:
